Justin I, 518-527. Tremissis (Gold, 15 mm, 1.50 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis. D N IVSTINVS P P AVG Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Justin I to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVGVSTORVM / CONOB Victory advancing right, her head turned to left, holding wreath in her right hand and globus cruciger in her left; in field to right, star. DOC 4. MIBE 5. SB 58. An exceptional piece, perfectly centered and lustrous and with a very sharp portrait. Very small scratches on the obverse, otherwise, virtually as struck.
