Description

Ti. Quinctius, 112-111 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.91 g, 6 h), Rome. Bust of Hercules to left, seen from behind and draped with lion skin, holding club above his right shoulder. Rev. Desultor to left; behind, R above pellet; below, rat to right between TI and Q; in exergue, D•S•S on incuse tablet. Babelon (Quinctia) 6. Crawford 297/1a. RBW -. Sydenham 563. Struck from somewhat corroded and worn dies, otherwise, about very fine.

From an American collection of Roman Republican and Imperatorial coins, ex Martí Hervera/Soler y Llach 1066, 3 May 2011, 2558 (with collector's ticket).
