★ An exceptional portrait of Huvishka ★

INDIA, Kushan Empire. Huvishka, circa 151-190. Dinar (Gold, 20 mm, 8.12 g, 11 h), main mint in Baktria. ÞAONANOÞAO OOηÞKI KOÞANO ('King of Kings, Huvishka the Kushan' in Batrian) Helmeted, diademed and nimbate bust of Huvishka emerging from clouds or a mountain top to left, wearing jeweled kaftan with double-helix pattern on armlets, holding club in his right hand and scepter in his left. Rev. AΡΔΟΧÞΟ Ardoxsho standing right, holding cornucopiae with both hands; to right, tamgha. ANS Kushan 749. Göbl, type 286. A beautiful coin, struck example and with an exceptional portrait. Good extremely fine.
