PHRYGIA. Eucarpeia. Volusian, 251-253. Assarion (Bronze, 21 mm, 5.12 g, 6 h). •AΥ•Κ•ΟΥΟΛΟΥϹϹΙΑ/ΝΟΝ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Volusian to right, seen from behind. Rev. ЄΥΚΑΡΠЄΩΝ Artemis standing front, head to right, holding bow in her left hand and drawing arrow from quiver with her right; to right, small facing cult statue; to left, forepart of a stag standing left, head to right. BMC 31-33. RPC IX 809. Beautiful earthen highlights. Light scratches and with an old scuff on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
