Description

GERMANY. Freiburg, Herzoge von Zähringen. Berthold V, 1186-1218. Vierzipfliger Pfennig (Silver, 17 mm, 0.40 g). Male head facing (so-called "Struwelkopf") between six-pointed star in left field and cross in right field. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Wiel. Breisgau 21 var. (different face). Nicely toned. Areas of weakness, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket) and that of Virgil M. Brand (1861-1926), Part 2, Leu 47, 25-27 October 1988, 1489.
