BRITISH, Hanover. George III, 1760-1820. Dollar of 5 Shillings 1804 (Silver, 40 mm, 27.01 g, 11 h), Bank of England issue GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX Laureate bust of George III to right. Rev. BANK OF ENGLAND / 1804 / FIVE SHILLINGS / DOLLAR Britannia sitting between bee hive and cornucopia, holding laurel branch in her right hand and spear in her left; mural crown above. Davenport 101. SCBC 3768. Beautifully toned and well preserved. Extremely fine.

From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket), acquired from C. Hild on 26 February 1996.
