Andronicus II Palaeologus, 1282-1328. Tetarteron (Bronze, 21 mm, 2.99 g, 5 h), Constantinopolis, 1282-1295. Nimbate Virgin Mary standing facing, orans, wearing pallium and maphorium; in fields MP - ΘV. Rev. [...]IKOC / ЄNΧⲰ / ΔЄC/ΠΟΤ/ЄC Π/Α/ΛЄ/ΟΛ/ΟΓ[...] Andronicus II standing facing, wearing crown with pendilia and loros, holding labarum in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. Bendall, LPC, p. 60, 36. SB 2358. Very rare. Minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
