EGYPT. Alexandria. Probus, 276-282. Tetradrachm (Silvered bronze, 20 mm, 9.00 g, 11 h), RY 2 = 276/7. Α Κ Μ ΑΥΡ ΠΡΟΒΟC CЄΒ Laureate and cuirassed bust of Probus to right. Rev. L - B Eagle with closed wings standing left, head to right and holding wreath in beak. Dattari (Savio) 5552. Emmett 3984.2. K&G 112.5. Small die break and light deposits on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket) and that of his father, Dr. Karl Blaschegg (1892-1951).
