Description

EGYPT. Alexandria. Tacitus, 275-276. Tetradrachm (Potin, 21 mm, 8.02 g, 11 h), RY 1 = 275/6. A K KΛ TAKITOC CЄB Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Tacitus to right. Rev. ЄΤΟΥC - A Dikaiosyne standing front, head to left, holding scales in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. Dattari (Savio) 5515. Emmett 3971.1. K&G 110.5. Light deposits on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket) and that of his father, Dr. Karl Blaschegg (1892-1951).
