★ A nicely toned drachm of Shahpur II ★

SASANIAN KINGS. Shahpur II, 309-379. Drachm (Silver, 23 mm, 3.92 g, 3 h), Mint IX (Kabul), 320-379. Draped bust of Shahpur II to right, wearing mural crown with korymbos; before head, slightly blundered ŠHPWHLY ('Shahpur' in Pahlawi). Rev. Fire altar with crowned bust to left flanked by two attendants. SNS III, type Ib(1)/3b(5). Nicely toned. Minor flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
