★ An excellent hemiobol of Kujula Kadphises ★
INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kujula Kadphises, circa 30/50-80. Hemiobol (Silver, 12 mm, 0.61 g, 11 h), 'Heraus type', Bamian Valley. Diademed head of Kujula Kadphises to right; around, pelleted border. Rev. blundered HIAOY KOΠΠANOY ('of Kushan Yabgu' in Greek) King standing front, head to right, wearing nomadic dress, holding sword in his left and raising his right hand slightly. ANS Kushan 39. Donum Burns 11. An splendid example, sharply struck and without the usual porosity. Minor edge crack, otherwise, good extremely fine.
