Leo I, 457-474. Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.46 g, 5 h), Constantinopolis, circa 462 or 466. D N LEO PERPET AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Leo I facing, his head turned slightly to right, holding spear in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with a horseman spearing a fallen foe, over his left shoulder. Rev. VICTORIA AVGGG I / CONOB Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross; in field to right, star. Depeyrot 93/1. RIC 605. Light doubling, otherwise, good extremely fine.
