Taler (Silver, 41 mm, 29.00 g, 1 h), Dresden, 1583. •AVGVSTVS•D:G•DVX•SAXO•SA•ROMA•IMP• Cuirassed bust of August to right, holding sword in both hands; date 15-83 across field. Rev. ARCHIMARS - CHAL•ET•ELEC Coat of arms. Davenport 9798. Keilitz/Kahnt 68. Beautifully toned and very well preserved. Extremely fine.
