ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Mansur, AH 136-158 / AD 754-775. Fals (Bronze, 23 mm, 6.05 g, 6 h), citing 'al-Amir Musa' and 'ala yaday Ahmad' in Kufic, Qinnasrin, AH 157 = AD 773/4. Album 290. The reverse struck slightly off center and with minor deposits, otherwise, about very fine.

The last line of the inner field on the obverse reads 'ala yaday Ahmad' ('at the hands of Ahmad' in Kufic), indicating that Ahmad was the official responsible for the minting of this particular issue.
