M. Junius Brutus, 54 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 4.00 g, 3 h), Rome. LIBERTAS Head of Libertas to right, wearing pendant earring and necklace. Rev. BRVTVS The consul L. Junius Brutus, preceded by an accensus, walking left between two lictors, each carrying fasces with an axe over his left shoulder. Babelon (Junia) 31. Crawford 433/1. RBW 1542. Sydenham 906. Perfectly centered and lightly toned. Small test cut on the edge, otherwise, extremely fine.
