SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Trebonianus Gallus, 251-253. Octassarion (Bronze, 30 mm, 17.69 g, 12 h), 251. ΑΥΤΟΚ Κ ΓΑ ΤΡЄΒ ΓΑΛΛΟϹ ΚΑΙ ΟΥΟΛΟΥϹϹΙΑΝΟϹ ϹЄΒΒ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Trebonianus Gallus to right, facing radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Volusian to left, seen from behind. Rev. ANTIOXЄΩN MH[TPO KOΛΩN] / Δ - Є / S C Tyche seated facing, with river-god Orontes at feet, within portable tetrastyle shrine; above, ram leaping right, head to left. McAlee 1182. RPC IX 1819. An attractive dynastic issue. Somewhat rough and with minor adjustment marks on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
