KINGS OF PARTHIA. Arsakes XVI, 78/7-62/1 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 15.71 g, 12 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris. Diademed and draped bust of Arsakes XVI to left. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ / APΣAKOY - ΘEOΠATOPOΣ / EYEPΓETOY - EΠΙΦANOYΣ / ΦΙΛEΛΛHNOΣ Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow in his right hand; above bow, monogram. Sellwood 30.2 (unknown king). Shore -. Sunrise 311. An attractive example with an excellent portrait and a very detailed reverse. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and with a light graffito before the bust, otherwise, good very fine.
