Description

KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes V, circa 6-12. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 23 mm, 5.31 g, 2 h), Artagigarta (?). Draped bust of Tigranes V to right, wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with four eagles and tied with a diadem. Rev. [BA]ΣΙΛEΩΣ / TIΓPANOY - MEΓAΛOY Herakles standing front, head to left, leaning right on club and holding lion's skin draped over his left arm. Kovacs 181. Some deposits, otherwise, very fine.
