LESBOS. Mytilene. Circa 478-455 BC. Hekte (Subaeratus, 10 mm, 2.18 g, 9 h), a contemporary plated imitation. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. Incuse head of a bull to right. Cf. Bodenstedt 29 and SNG von Aulock 1692 (for prototype). Breaks in plating and with a few scratches, otherwise, good fine.
