Description

THESSALY. Magnetes. Circa 196-146 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 15 mm, 4.36 g, 1 h), circa 150-130. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΜΑΓΝΗΤΩΝ Artemis advancing right, wearing chlamys and chiton, holding a long torch with both hands. BCD Thessaly II 417.6 ( same dies ). HGC 4, 71. Rogers -, cf. 324 (legend circular). About very fine.
