ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 168/7-148 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 33 mm, 16.60 g, 11 h). Head of Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath and taenia. Rev. HΡAKΛEOΥΣ - ΣΩTHΡOΣ / ΘAΣIΩN Herakles standing front, head to left, holding club in his right hand and with lion's skin draped over his left arm; in inner left field, M. HGC 6, 359. Prokopov Group X. SNG Copenhagen 1039. Minor marks and with some small cleaning scratches, otherwise, about very fine.
