★ Very rare and darkly toned ★

SOUTHERN GAUL. Longostaletes. Late 2nd to early 1st century BC. Drachm (Silver, 14 mm, 2.20 g), 'à la croix' type. Disjointed male head to left, devolved into pellets and volutes. Rev. Large cross with four pellets and one axe in quarters. Flesche -. LT pl. IX, Ch. Robert (I) var. (differing obverse) and 3563 var. (differing reverse). Künker 273 (2016), 32. SLM -. Very rare. A darkly toned piece. Somewhat double struck, otherwise, good very fine.
