Divus Augustus, died 14 AD. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 35 mm, 24.46 g, 1 h), restitution issue, Rome, struck under Titus, 80-81. DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER Divus Augustus, radiate and togate, seated left on curule chair, holding patera in his right hand and scepter with his left. Rev. IMP T CAES DIVI VESP F AVG P M TR P P P COS VIII - REST / S C. BMC 263. Cohen 560. RIC 403. Struck on an unusually broad flan. Somewhat smoothed , otherwise, very fine.
