SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 17.09 g, 4 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris. Diademed head of Antiochos I to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIOXOY Apollo, nude, seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in right hand and leaning with left on bow; to left and right, monograms. HGC 128g. SC 379.3c. An attractive example with an excellent portrait. Very fine.
