KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. 1/8 Stater (Gold, 7 mm, 1.08 g, 11 h), Pella, struck under Philip II or Alexander III, circa 340-328. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠ-ΠOY Trident. Le Rider 4/5 (D4/R5). Very rare. A very well centered example with excellent detail. Minor deposits and with a light edge mark , otherwise, very fine.
