SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Tessera (?) (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.78 g, 12 h), circa 2nd century AD. Laureate head of Asklepios to right, with slight drapery over his left shoulder. Rev. Serpent-entwined staff. Butcher p. 405 and pl. 19, 12i. McAlee p. 85. SNG Copenhagen 401 ('Pergamum'). SNG Paris 1855-8 ('Pergamum'). Rare. Minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
