★ Struck in high relief ★
ASIA MINOR. Uncertain. 2nd-3rd centuries. Tessera (Lead, 18 mm, 3.42 g). Fish to left. Rev. Blank. Apparently unpublished, but cf. Boersema/Dalzell 40 (fish right). For a tessera with the image of two fishes, cf. Rostovtsev, Римские свинцовые тессеры (1903), 113 and plate III, 12 and Gülbay & Kireç 125-129. An attractive piece struck in high relief. Very fine.
