PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy VI Philometor, second reign, 163-145 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 20 mm, 6.95 g, 12 h), uncertain mint on Cyprus, year 101 (?) of an uncertain era = 162/1. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ [ΠΤΟ]ΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt inscribed with ΡΑ (?). Mørkholm 175 ff. Noeske 402. SNG Copenhagen 550. Svoronos 1209. Some scratches, otherwise, fine.
