PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy III Euergetes, 246-222 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 13.86 g, 12 h), Ioppe, RY 5 = 243/2. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck. Rev. ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ Eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt; to left, IOΠ above monogram of Π and A; to right, E above Θ. CPE 878. SNG Copenhagen -. Svoronos -. Very rare. Some marks and scratches, otherwise, about very fine.
