PERSIA, Alexandrine Empire. Uncertain satraps of Babylon, circa 328-311 BC. Double Shekel (Silver, 20 mm, 16.78 g, 7 h), Babylon. Baal seated left, holding scepter in his right hand and placing his left hand on throne; to upper right, goose to right. Rev. Lion walking left; above, Γ. Nicolet-Pierre 8 var. (differing symbols on obverse). Apparently unpublished with this lovely control. Some cleaning scratches, otherwise, very fine.
