Justinian I, 527-565. Follis (Bronze, 41 mm, 23.35 g, 6 h), Nicomedia, RY 12 = 538/9. D N IVSTINIANVS P P AVI Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Justinian I facing, holding globus cruciger in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with a horseman spearing a fallen foe, over his left shoulder; in field to right, cross. Rev. Large M between A/N/N/O and X/II; above, cross; below, B; in exergue, NIK. DOC 115b. MIB 112-115. SB 201. Large flan fault on the obverse and with light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
