Constantine II, as Caesar, 316-337. Follis (Bronze, 18 mm, 2.74 g, 6 h), Londinium, 320. CONSTANTI-NVS IVN N C Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine II to left. Rev. VIRTVS EXERCIT / PLON Vexillum inscribed VOT / XX between two captives; in left field, captive seated to left, his hands unbound, placing his right hand on his forehead; in right field, captive seated to right, his hands bound behind his back, rasing his head towards vexillum. RIC 190 corr. Beautiful glossy dark patina. Extremely fine.
