★ A very rare pentassarion of Trajan from Midaeum ★

PHRYGIA. Midaeum. Trajan , 98-117. Pentassarion (Bronze, 32 mm, 21.86 g, 6 h), after 102. AY•N[EP]•TPAIANOY•KAIC•CE ΓEP•Δ• • Laureate head of Trajan to right. Rev. M[IΔA]EΩN Zeus standing front, head to left, holding patera in his right hand and long scepter with his left; at feet to left, eagle. RPC III 2643. Very rare, only three examples listed in RPC. The reverse flatly struck , otherwise, very fine.
