Seal (Lead, 30 mm, 17.23 g, 12 h). +ΘEOTOKE BOHΘH ("Mother of God, help") The Mother of God standing facing, nimbate, holding Infant Christ on her left arm, wearing a nimbus cruciger. Rev. +ΠATPIKIⲰ Monogram ΠAVΛ topped by a cross. Zacos/Veglery 1187. An exceptional and impressive early Byzantine seal. About extremely fine.
