CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Nymphaion. Circa 400 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 4.95 g, 8 h). Head of a nymph to left, her hair bound in sakkos. Rev. ΝΥΝ Bunch of grapes and two leaves on vine; all within incuse square. Anokhin 948. HGC 7, 12. MacDonald 85 corr. (ethnikon). SNG BM Black Sea -. SNG Stancomb -. Extremely rare, one of a very few known examples. A beautifully toned and very well centered coin. Somewhat rough and with minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
