Dirham (Silver, 24 mm, 2.89 g, 4 h), citing the heir apparent Muhammad al-Amin as 'ibn Amir al-Mu'minin' ('son of the Commander of the Faithful' in Kufic) and the vizier Ja'far ibn Yahya al-Barmaki, Madinat al-Salam, AH 186 = AD 802. SICA IV, 1687. An attractive example. Good very fine.
