LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.80 g, 5 h). Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Barley ear with leaf to right; to lower left, [ΛY]; above leaf, Nike standing left, holding wreath with both hands. HN Italy 1591. Johnston Class C, 9.1. Slightly rough, otherwise, good extremely fine.
