CELTIC, Central Europe. Helvetii. Late 2nd-early 1st century BC. Scyphate Stater (Electrum, 22 mm, 7.11 g, 6 h). Celticized head of Apollo with curly hair to left. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to right; below, stylized triskeles running left. Allen, SNR 53, 63. D&T 3073. LT 8897. SLM 854. Rare. A well struck and unusually complete example. Very minor nicks, otherwise, very fine.
