ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Wathiq, AH 227-232 / AD 842-847. Dinar (Gold, 16 mm, 2.10 g, 1 h), citing the Abbasid caliph al-Wathiq billah and the governor Ja'far, San'a', AH 232 = AD 846/7. Bernardi 154El. Very rare. Heavily clipped, otherwise, very fine.
