Justinian I, 527-565. Follis (Bronze, 38 mm, 24.00 g, 6 h), Nicomedia, RY 16 = 541/2. D N IVSTINIANVS P P AVI Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Justinian I facing, holding globus cruciger in his right hand and shield, decorated with cavalryman riding over fallen enemy, in his left; in field to right, cross. Rev. Large M between A/N/N/O and X/Ч; above, cross; below, A; in exergue, NIKO. DOC 120. MIB 112-115. SB 201. Struck on a particularly broad flan. Minor die break on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
