Elagabalus, 218-222. Aureus (Gold, 21 mm, 6.41 g, 7 h), Rome, 218-219. IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right, seen from behind. Rev. SALVS ANTONINI AVG Salus standing front, head to right, feeding serpent out of patera. Calicó 3030 ( same dies ). BMC 28 note. Cohen 257. RIC 136. Extremely rare, one of a very few known examples. A fresh, bright and very attractive piece. Minor traces of mounting and with a few light marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
