PHOENICIA. Byblus. Caracalla, 198-217. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 13.40 g, 10 h), 215-217. AYT•KAI•ANTⲰNINOC•CЄ• Laureate and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right. Rev. ΔHM•ЄΞ•YΠATOC•TO•Δ• Laureate head of Caracalla set to right on eagle standing right with closed wings; behind to left, lit altar. Prieur -, cf. 1304 (longer reverse legend). Apparently unpublished and unique, and very unusual with the short ΔHM instead of ΔHMAPX on the reverse. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.
