LACONIA. Lacedaemon (Sparta). Commodus, as Caesar, 166-177. Diassarion (Bronze, 21 mm, 8.59 g, 1 h), circa 166. Λ ΑΥΡ ΚΟ[ΜΟΔΟC Κ] Bare-headed and draped bust of Commodus to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΛΑΚЄ-ΔΑΙ-ΜΟΝΙ-ⲰΝ in four lines within wreath. BCD Peloponnesos 942.1-2. Grunauer Group XLV, 10 (V3/R10). Very rare. The obverse struck slightly off center and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
