SASANIAN KINGS. Jamasp, 497-499. Drachm (Silver, 27 mm, 3.29 g, 4 h), DA (Darabjird), RY 2 = AD 498. G'M ('Jamasp' in Pahlawi) Draped bust of Jamasp to right, wearing mural crown with inner crescent and korymbos set on crescent; to right, small bust of Ahura Mazda. Rev. Fire altar flanked by two stylized attendants; in upper field to left, five-pointed star; in upper field to right, crescent; in field to right, DA (name of the mint in Pahlawi); in field to left, date in Pahlawi. SNS III, pl. 111, 8. A rare mint for Jamasp. Light scratches, otherwise, about very fine.
