CARIA. Knidos. Circa 411-405/4 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 6.26 g, 3 h), Aeginetic standard. Forepart of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to right, wearing earring and necklace and with her hair bound up with a broad cloth band decorated with flowers; all within incuse square. Cahn 92 (V44/R62). A beautiful coin, sharply struck from fresh dies. Faint cleaning scratches, otherwise, extremely fine.
