★ Likely the finest known example ★

IONIA. Lebedos. Circa 4th-3rd centuries BC. AE (Bronze, 12 mm, 1.92 g, 5 h). Cow standing left, head turned right towards calf suckling right below; above, spearhead to right. Rev. ΛEBE-ΔIΩ Prow to left. F. Imhoof-Blumer: Antike griechische Münzen, in: SNG XIX (1913), p. 38, 108 corr. (reverse legend). Lindgren III 1644 corr. (misdescribed as Leukas) = Münzen & Medaillen GmbH 21 (2007), 790 corr. (as 'incert'). Extremely rare and likely the finest and most complete known example. Faint cleaning scratches and some deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
