★ A perfectly centered hekte from Mytilene ★
LESBOS. Mytilene. Circa 521-478 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 11 mm, 2.54 g, 4 h). Forepart of a winged boar to right. Rev. Head of a roaring lion to right with rectangular punch behind. Bodenstedt 15. SNG von Aulock 7717. Perfectly centered and very attractive. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
