★ A splendid hekte from Kyzikos of very attractive style ★
MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 550-450 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 11 mm, 2.66 g). Satyr kneeling left, holding a tunny fish by the tail in his extended right hand. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. BMFA -, cf. 1461 (stater). SNG Paris 270. Von Fritze I 122. A beautiful piece of very attractive style. A few light marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
