★ A beautiful drachm from Skotussa struck in high relief ★

THESSALY. Skotussa. Circa 465-460 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 6.06 g, 7 h). Forepart of a horse to left. Rev. ΣΚ-Ο Barley grain; all within incuse square. BCD Thessaly II 729 ( same obverse die ). BMFA 928. HGC 4, 587. A lovely example boldly struck in high relief. Very light scratch on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
