ISLAMIC, Mongols. Ilkhanids. Sulayman, AH 739-746 / AD 1339-1346. Fals (Bronze, 20 mm, 2.00 g), Amid, date illegble. Rising sun and name of the mint within circle; in outer margin, legend in Arabic. Rev. 'al-Sultan Sulayman' ('Sultan Sulayman' in Arabic) within floral design. Unpublished for this mint. Minor areas of weakness, otherwise, very fine.

This is hitherto the only recorded example of the interesting 'rising sun'-type from the Amid mint.
